Joyce J. Shen

Joyce J. Shen has been working in the technology industry since 2017. Joyce J. is currently an Investment and Operating Partner at Tenfore Holdings, where they lead deal origination/sourcing, deal execution, and portfolio management. Joyce J. also leads Tenfore's operational value-added (OVA) platform with a focus on growth and operational strategy consulting, business and corporate development, finance, talent, and overall startup execution capabilities.

From 2015 to 2017, Shen was a Faculty of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at UC Berkeley School of Information, where they were the instructional leader for the Synthetic Capstone class for the Master of Information and Data Science (MIDS) program.

In 2017, Shen began guest lecturing on Venture Capital, Technology Innovation, and Blockchain at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.

In 2016, they published a book called From Talking to Doing: A Short Guide to Corporate Innovation Success.

Shen is also involved in various board positions. Joyce J. is a Board Member (Connections and Career Committee) at the University of Chicago, a Board Director (Compensation Committee) at ThreatBlockr by Bandura Cyber, a Lead Investor at Silectis, Agerpoint, and Stardog, and a Board Observer at Aperia Technologies.

Joyce J. Shen completed their MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where they studied Quantitative Finance, Strategic Management, and Entrepreneurship. Joyce J. also attended The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) for an MSc Management, focusing on European M&A Law and EU Policy. Lastly, they earned two BA degrees from the University of Chicago in Statistics and Economics.
