Amanda Makowsky's work experience begins with their current position as a Solutions Engineer at ThreatLocker, which they started in 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Substitute Teacher at Lubbock ISD from 2021 to 2023, where they occasionally picked up substitute jobs and assisted as a Math Interventionist for elementary students.

From 2016 to 2021, Amanda held various roles at CTSI. Amanda started as an Inside Technician in 2016, setting up new workstations and processing EOL equipment. Amanda then progressed to become a Desktop Specialist, where they setup workstations, troubleshooted issues, and maintained security updates. Amanda was promoted to Advanced Desktop Specialist, where they assisted users with VPN and RDP connections and planned system upgrades. Amanda then became a Senior Desktop Specialist, working extensively with multiple clients to manage their needs effectively. Lastly, they served as a Server Specialist, setting up new workstations, servers, switches, firewalls, and access points.

Prior to their time at CTSI, Amanda worked as an Accounts Payable Clerk at Food Concepts International / Abuelo's from 2010 to 2015, where they audited cash receipts and issued checks. Amanda also worked as an Accounts Payable and Receivable Clerk at Aprotex Corporation from 2008 to 2009, where they processed payments and invoiced customers. Additionally, they served as an Assistant Bookkeeper at Spradling Management Service in 2008, where they processed accounts payable, payroll, and conducted bank transfers.

Before their bookkeeping roles, Amanda held the position of Manager at Chili's in 2007, where they were responsible for interviewing, training, and reviewing employee performance. Amanda also worked as a Server at Texas Roadhouse in the same year. Amanda'sfirst management role was as an Assistant Manager at K-BOB'S Steakhouse from 2002 to 2007, where they supervised staff, appraised employee performance, and managed scheduling.

Amanda's earliest work experience was as a Men's Department Sales associate at Beall's, Inc. from 2000 to 2002, where they stocked, cleaned, organized the department, assisted customers, and conducted tuxedo fittings.

Amanda Makowsky obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Management Information Systems and Telecommunications Networking from Texas Tech University - Rawls College of Business. In addition, they have obtained several certifications including "Identity with Windows Server 2016," "Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate: Windows Server 2016," "Networking with Windows Server 2016," "Installation, Storage, and Compute with Windows Server 2016," "Installing and Configuring Windows 10," "CompTIA Security+," and "CompTIA Network+."
