Maroš Kirňák

Maroš Kirňák has a diverse work experience in various roles related to cybersecurity and technical support. Maroš is currently working at ThreatMark as a Lead Security Advisor, overseeing customer-related activities in fraud prevention services. Prior to that, they worked as a Security Advisor at ThreatMark, responsible for creating monitoring activities and fraud prevention rule base to improve customer experience.

Before joining ThreatMark, Maroš worked at Safetica, where they held multiple roles. Maroš started as a Technical Consultant, providing support for the DLP software and working on product delivery projects. Later, they transitioned to a Troubleshooting team as a Technical Engineer, focusing on resolving technical difficulties and sharing knowledge within the team. Finally, they served as a Senior Technical Engineer, dedicated to project implementation for larger customers.

Earlier in their career, Maroš worked at Websupport as a 1st Line Support agent, providing assistance to customers regarding domain, hosting, and server services.

Maroš also has experience in media as the Editor In Chief at cybersec.sk, the first Slovak portal dedicated to cybersecurity. Maroš was responsible for managing the published content and overseeing writers. Additionally, they served as the Director of the Cyber Security program at the Slovak Security Policy Institute.

Throughout their career, Maroš has gained expertise in fraud prevention, technical troubleshooting, customer support, and cybersecurity content management.

Maroš Kirňák holds a Master's degree in European studies, which they obtained from Univerzita Komenského v Bratislave from 2016 to 2018. Prior to this, they earned a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from Univerzita Mateja Bela v Banskej Bystrici between 2013 and 2016. Maroš also studied International Relations at TalTech – Tallinn University of Technology in 2015, although it is not specified whether they completed a degree at this institution.
