Alison Scott

Alison Scott has a diverse work experience in finance and governance. Alison worked as Shared Director of Finance and Head of Finance at both Three Rivers District Council and Watford Borough Council from 2018 to present. Prior to that, they were the Head of Standards and Financial Reporting at CIPFA from 2006 to 2017, where they focused on developing accounting standards for local authorities and charities. Alison also served as Corporate Manager, Finance and Property at Northampton Borough Council from 2003 to 2006, implementing improved financial processes and holding the responsibility of Chief Finance Officer. Before that, Alison was Head of Corporate Finance at Bedfordshire County Council from 1990 to 2003, where they led financial planning and reporting functions and worked on various projects including local government reorganization and major capital projects.

Alison Scott completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Surrey, where they studied from 1986 to 1990.
