Jay Thompson has extensive experience in engineering and land surveying, beginning with a role as a Land Surveying Technician at Westwood Professional Services in 1988, followed by similar positions at Lot Surveys Company and Cherrier Land Surveyors. From 1993 to 1999, Jay Thompson served as an Engineering Technician for the City of Brooklyn Park. Since September 1999, Jay Thompson has been with Three Rivers Park District, holding the positions of Senior Project Technician and Sr. Engineering Technician. Additionally, from January 2012 to December 2015, Jay Thompson was a member of the Board of Directors for Minnesota Off-Road Cyclists (MORC). Educational qualifications include a Diploma in Land Surveying/Civil Technologies from Hennepin Technical College and an Associate of Arts degree from North Hennepin Community College.
