Lisa Segler

Lisa Segler, PhD has extensive work experience in health education and program management. Lisa currently holds the position of Chief Strategy Officer at Three Square Food Bank, where they have been since February 2023. Prior to this role, Lisa served as the Director of Strategic Initiatives from April 2019 to February 2023, and the Director of Senior Hunger Programs from March 2018 to April 2019, both at Three Square Food Bank. Before joining Three Square Food Bank, they worked as an Instructional Facilitator at Healthy Interactions from December 2017 to December 2020. Lisa also served as an Education Manager at Immunize Nevada from November 2015 to March 2018, and as a Health Education Presenter at CIGNA from July 2012 to December 2017. Additionally, Lisa has worked as a Part-time Instructor and Research Assistant at University of Nevada Las Vegas from August 2012 to December 2016, and from April 2015 to September 2015, respectively. Lisa also held a Letter of Appointment at University of Nevada Reno from May 2015 to September 2015. Furthermore, Lisa has experience as a Health Educator at Interactive Health, Inc from October 2011 to August 2015, as a Senior Lead Wellness Educator at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino for Wellness Coaches from July 2013 to February 2015, as a Program Manager - All 4 Kids at University of Nevada Cooperative Extension from July 2012 to July 2013, and as an Education Program Specialist at Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains from November 2011 to July 2012.

Lisa Segler, PhD, has a strong educational background in the field of public health. Lisa first obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Community Health Education from Portland State University, graduating in 2008. Lisa then pursued further education at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, where they completed their Master of Public Health degree in Social and Behavioral Health from 2009 to 2011. Lisa continued their academic journey at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, where they earned their PhD in Public Health from 2012 to 2019.

In addition to their formal degrees, Lisa Segler has also obtained two notable certifications. In April 2011, they became a Certified Health Education Specialist through the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. Lisa also obtained the Certified Peer Educator certification from The BACCHUS Network™ in April 2012.
