Rahil Nazir

Rahil Nazir is a highly experienced professional with a diverse background in technology and e-commerce. Rahil co-founded Thriftify Technologies Ltd in 2018 and served as the Chief Product & Technology Officer. In this role, they led the engineering and product organizations in developing a portfolio of SAAS-based digital commerce marketplaces for retailers and consumers. Rahil also participated in the Competitive Start Fund at Enterprise Ireland, where they worked closely with mentors to bring cutting-edge e-commerce technologies to the charity retail market.

Prior to Thriftify, Rahil served as the Chief Technology Officer at Monsoon Consulting from 2013 to 2018. Rahil played a crucial role in scaling the company and transforming the delivery model to adapt Agile methodologies. Rahil also set up the engineering and product organizations and managed cross-functional teams across multiple offices.

Before their time at Monsoon Consulting, Rahil worked as a Principle Engineer - Magento E-commerce at Smartbox Ireland. Here, they led the re-platforming of the digital commerce solution and successfully migrated real customer sales data. Rahil also hired, mentored, and managed a team of junior engineers.

Earlier in their career, Rahil contributed to the development of a digital learning platform at Kelvin TOP-SET and worked as a Graduate Business Intelligence (BI) System Analyst/Developer at OLM Systems Ltd. At Kelvin TOP-SET, Rahil built a platform that generated additional revenue through online learning courses. Meanwhile, at OLM Systems Ltd, Rahil was involved in the development and implementation of a Business Intelligence system for the social care sector.

Throughout their career, Rahil has demonstrated their ability to lead and implement complex projects, develop and mentor teams, and drive innovation in the e-commerce and technology sectors.

Rahil Nazir's education history is as follows:

From 2006 to 2008, Rahil attended Abertay University, where they obtained a Bsc degree in Business Information System.

In 2004 and 2005, Rahil studied at Dundee College in Scotland, earning a Higher National Diploma in Software Development.

From 2002 to 2004, Rahil attended Islamabad Model College for Boys F-10/3 in Islamabad, Pakistan, and obtained a Higher Secondary School Certificate in Computer Sciences.

- In September 2011, Rahil completed a Diploma in Management and Leadership from the Chartered Management Institute.

- In December 2010, Rahil achieved the Foundation in Enterprise System Development certification from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT.

- In March 2020, Rahil obtained the SAFe 5 Practitioner Certification from SAFe.
