Jennifer Rook

President/executive Director at Thrive Counseling Center

Jennifer Rook, LCPC, MT-BC serves as the President and Executive Director of Thrive Counseling Center since April 2022, bringing extensive experience in leadership roles within therapy organizations. Previously, Jennifer was the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director at the Institute for Therapy through the Arts from September 2015 to May 2022 and from June 2005 to August 2015, respectively. Jennifer's expertise includes strategic planning, board development, grant writing, and donor cultivation. Earlier roles include Music Therapist and Psychotherapist at The New Center, where individual and family therapy were provided, along with experience as a student therapist at Davita Children's Dialysis Center and James Otis Elementary School. Jennifer also managed a department of music therapists as the Director of Music Therapy at the Institute for Therapy through the Arts and completed a music therapy internship at Giant Steps Illinois, Inc. Jennifer holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University Chicago and a Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy from Western Illinois University.
