Cavar Reid

CaVar Reid, Ph.D., currently serves as the Managing Director of High School and College Programs at Thrive Scholars, where responsibilities include overseeing national recruiting, college access preparation, and success coaching, leading a team of 20 with five Director-level reports. Previously, at the University of Michigan, CaVar held the position of Assistant Director for College Success and Donor Engagement, directing curriculum and programs for 9th through 12th-grade scholars, and managed partnerships as Senior Program Manager for Campus and Community Relations. Earlier roles included Academic Advisor and Academic Mentor at the University of Michigan, focusing on academic guidance and support for students. CaVar holds a Ph.D. in African-American/Black Studies from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor's degree in the same field from Wesleyan University.
