Spencer Graling

Spencer is a program associate at SVG Ventures, supporting the team across all of THRIVE’s activities. Hailing from a farming family and having been a 4-H member for nearly a decade, his passion for agriculture is deeply rooted and he is excited to start a career in AgTech focused on ensuring innovative, secure, and sustainable food production for generations to come.

Spencer has experience in investment analysis, government relations, crisis communications, and research across a collection of industries. Before joining the THRIVE team, Spencer worked in Athens, Greece for Organization Earth, an NGO that runs a sustainable business accelerator and agriculture education workshops. He also gained experience in public policy and crisis response with Navigator Ltd., Canada’s leading high-stakes strategic advising and communications firm, and has spent time in Vancouver and Edmonton collecting market data and conducting investment due diligence in the real estate industry for Avison Young and Maclab Development Group.

Spencer studied at the University of British Columbia as a Loran Scholar where he received a Bachelor of Commerce specializing in Finance and Real Estate.
