Roopa Rao

Roopa Rao has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Roopa began their career as a Project Coordinator/QA Consultant at Scrum Technologies in 2008, where they supported the Senior Project Manager in digital/technology projects. From 2013 to 2014, Roopa worked as a Senior QA Analyst at Patterson Dental, contributing to an e-commerce project for Patterson Canada Dental.

Roopa then transitioned to Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, where they held various positions. From 2014 to 2015, they served as a UAT Lead, responsible for end-to-end UAT project planning and the implementation of Enterprise Testing Methodology (ETM) Artifacts. Roopa returned to Wells Fargo as a Process Implementation Consultant/UAT Lead in 2017, responsible for end-to-end UAT project planning and continuous process scripting standard improvement.

In between their stints at Wells Fargo, Roopa worked at Allianz as a QA & Regression Lead - Digital Portfolio (through TCS) from 2015 to 2017. Roopa actively participated in Scrum and sprint meetings, analyzed the implication of changes, and enhanced automation scripts.

In 2018, Roopa joined Best Buy as an Integrated Product Test Lead (through Wipro), collaborating with key stakeholders to define, develop, and refine backlogs. Roopa also participated in system design reviews, test planning, and user acceptance testing.

In 2020, Roopa joined Optum as a Quality Assurance Lead Consultant, partnering with product management and cross-functional teams to prioritize and successfully meet project milestones. Roopa maintained strong knowledge of the application platform and delivered the product roadmap to meet customer expectations.

Roopa then moved on to MGIC in 2021 as the Digital Transformation Program - Quality & Release Strategy Lead. Roopa partnered with the Product Owner and stakeholders to manage and execute the roadmap, worked closely with cross-functional teams to deliver quality enhancements and features, and executed a testing approach to ensure quality delivery.

Currently, in 2022, Roopa works as a Lead Software Quality Assurance Engineer at Thrivent.

Roopa Rao holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Finance, General from Bangalore University. Roopa later pursued an MBA in Marketing from Uttar Pradesh Jobs and Careers. Roopa also has multiple certifications related to software testing, technical product management, and agile development practices from LinkedIn.
