Sotiris Syrmakezis has extensive experience in various leadership roles in the banking and digital technology sectors. Sotiris is currently the Co-founder and CEO of Throo, a platform for digital payments and marketing. Prior to this, they served as a Board Member at Finclude, a creditworthiness and affordability score provider, where they also worked as an Advisor. Sotiris has also worked as an Advisor at 10 Orders, a retailtech startup.

In terms of their advisory roles, Sotiris has provided guidance on digital transformation at Athens Exchange Group, DIAS Interbanking Systems SA, Bioiatriki Healthcare Group, and European Reliance. Sotiris has also played a significant role in digital transformation and technology adoption at Praxiabank, where they served as the General Manager and Chief Retail, Digital & Technology Officer. Sotiris has held similar leadership positions at Eurobank, where they focused on Group Digital Banking and Technology, and Piraeus Bank, where they oversaw Retail Banking and Electronic Business.

Sotiris Syrmakezis has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Crete, Department of Computer Science. Sotiris also has a Master of Science degree in Technology and Innovation Management from the Technical University of Crete.
