Dustin Leefers has extensive work experience in the IT and cybersecurity field. Dustin began their career as a Network Technician at Novanis Global Solutions in 2001, where they worked until 2002. Dustin then joined WTI Systems as a Network Engineer from 2004 to 2007. Following this, they worked as a Network Analyst at Refreshment Services Pepsi from 2007 to 2009.

In 2009, Dustin joined ThrottleNet, Inc. as a Senior Network Engineer, where they worked until 2013. Dustin then transitioned to the role of Senior Infrastructure Engineer until 2016. In the same year, they briefly served as the Director of Operations at FracRack.

Dustin returned to ThrottleNet, Inc. in 2016 and held the position of Sr. Infrastructure Engineer | Team Lead until 2019. Currently, they serve as the Cybersecurity Manager at ThrottleNet, Inc. and has been in this role since April 2019.

Dustin Leefers completed their Associate's Degree in Network Engineering from St. Louis Community College in 2014. In addition to their degree, they have obtained various certifications, including A+ from Comptia, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) from EC-Council, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)², Certified Sonicwall Security Administrator (CSSA) from Dell Sonicwall, Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) from Cisco, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Connectwise Automate Certified Professional from ConnectWise, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) from Microsoft, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) from Microsoft, Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) from Microsoft, Network+ from Comptia, Security+ from Comptia, and VMware Certified Professional 4 & 5 (VCP) from VMware.
