Ilia Gimpels

Ilia Gimpels has been working in the software engineering industry since 2008. In 2021, they began working at Thru as a Principal Full Stack Engineer, developing a MFTaaS solution and improving code, refactoring, API, and software design and architecture solutions based on microservice architecture. Ilia is also responsible for maintenance and troubleshooting of old products. Their stack includes .NET Core, MSSQL, RabbitMQ, Redis, Docker, and ReactJS.

Prior to Thru, Gimpels worked at Actimind in various roles, including Lead Software Engineer (MedMap), Lead Software Engineer (Voosh), Software .NET Developer (Actitime), Project Manager/Team Lead (Thru project), Tech Lead, Team Lead (Thru project), and .NET Developer (Thru project). Ilia also worked as a Web Developer (WebCollage project), creating mini sites for products for e-commerce and using XSLT transformation to create web sites from provided feeds. Ilia eventually led a group of developers consisting of 2-3 engineers.

Ilia Gimpels completed a Master's degree in Information Technology from Saint Petersburg State University of Waterway Communications in 2008.
