Roel Versleijen

Roel Versleijen currently serves as the Directeur bestuurder at Antares, a housing corporation managing over 6,000 residences since May 2023. Prior to this, Roel was the Directeur Bestuurder at Stichting Akkoord!-PO, overseeing primary public education in several municipalities from November 2019 to April 2023. Roel has extensive experience with the Gemeente Venlo, holding roles as Programmamanager and Afdelingsmanager from March 2004 to November 2019, focusing on community wellbeing, safety, and various social projects. Earlier, Roel managed multidisciplinary training for municipalities and emergency services in the Veiligheidsregio NML, and served as Hoofdofficier with the Koninklijke Landmacht, involving numerous operational functions both domestically and internationally. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Crisis and Disaster Management and Military Science, alongside earlier pedagogical training.
