Harrold Barlingen

Harrold Barlingen, van has extensive work experience in various leadership roles. Harrold started their career in 2002, serving as a Member of the Board of Directors at Curacyte until 2012. Harrold then joined Galapagos in 2002 and held the position of Member of the Board of Directors until 2018. In 2005, they became a Managing Partner at Thuja Capital, a role they still hold. Throughout their career, Barlingen, van has also served as a Member of the Board of Directors at argenx and Okapi Sciences, as well as a Member of the Supervisory Board at InnoSIGN, Indigo, and ATRO Medical BV. Harrold was also the Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Hemics. Barlingen, van's most recent role was as a Member of the Board of Directors at encare from 2014 to 2021.

Harrold Barlingen, van has a Ph.D. in Medicine from Utrecht University, which they obtained from 1992 to 1997. Prior to that, they completed their Master's degree in medical biology at Utrecht University from 1987 to 1992. In 1991, they were a visiting scientist at the University of Chicago, specializing in Biomedical/Medical Engineering.
