Jill Wang

Jill Wang is a seasoned data science professional currently serving as the Senior Data Science Manager and Head of Business Analytics at Thumbtack since June 2019. Jill has extensive experience in business analytics roles, beginning with positions as a Senior Product Analyst, Senior Business Analyst, and Business Analyst at Thumbtack. Prior to that, Jill was a Data Scientist at Sunverge Energy, Inc., where responsibilities included the development of algorithms for demand charge reduction and smart thermostat controls for Japan’s first Virtual Power Plant. Jill’s earlier roles involved data science internships and research positions, including work on optimizing electric bus operations at Johns Hopkins University and environmental research at Wuhan University of Technology, where notable contributions included patenting a new water treatment formula. Jill holds a Master’s Degree in Environmental Management and Economics from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science from Wuhan University of Technology.
