Dana Wilson currently serves as the Associate Director of Communications and Strategic Initiatives at Thunder Bay District Health Unit since September 2023. Prior to this role, Dana held several positions at Public Health Sudbury & Districts, including Acting Manager of Population Health and Surveillance and Health Equity Manager from August 2014 to September 2023. Dana has an extensive academic background as an Adjunct Professor at Laurentian University/Université Laurentienne from August 2013 to May 2022, and previously worked as an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto Mississauga and a Post-doctoral Research Fellow at the Canadian Research Institute for Social Policy. Additionally, Dana has contributed to various organizations as Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors for Safe City Mississauga and as a Research Manager for the Peel Children and Youth Initiative. Dana earned a PhD in Health Geography from McGill University and holds an MA from McMaster University and a BES from the University of Waterloo.
