John Downing

John Downing has a diverse background in accounting and operations, currently serving as an Accounting Specialist at THUNDERBIRD LLC since September 2024. Prior to this role, John was a Store Account Consultant at Walter E. Smithe Furniture & Design, overseeing accounting activities for multiple stores and creating informative presentations for the accounts receivables team. Additional experience includes positions in various departments at Walter E. Smithe Furniture & Design, as well as a Lead Line Cook at K1 Speed, where safety and menu development were key responsibilities. John also contributed as a Social Media Manager for UIC Rugby and has a solid foundation in team dynamics and event management through experience in Greek life and at Topgolf. John holds a Business Administration and Management degree from Elmhurst University, earned between 2018 and 2022.
