Julia Rosen

Vice President, Global Academic Initiatives at Thunderbird

Julia Rosen has a diverse work experience, primarily with Arizona State University (ASU). Julia started at ASU in 1997 as the Lead for Technology-Based Economic Development and Assistant to the City Council for the City of Tempe. From there, they held various roles at ASU, including Manager of Business Development, Director of Economic Affairs, Assistant Vice President of Economic Affairs, Associate Vice President of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Associate Vice Provost for ASU Online and Extended Education, Managing Director of Global Launch, and most recently as the Vice President of Global Academic Initiatives. During their time at ASU, they achieved various accomplishments such as leading enrollment strategies, launching online degree programs in China, creating English language learning courses, and negotiating significant partnerships. Additionally, Julia co-founded ASU+GSV Summit, an influential event in the education technology sector. Prior to ASU, they had roles at Academic Partnerships and eStreetCapital. Overall, Julia Rosen has extensive experience in global education initiatives, strategic partnerships, entrepreneurship, and economic development.

Julia Rosen has a Master of International Management degree in Marketing from the Thunderbird School of Global Management. Julia also holds an MBA from the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. Julia completed their undergraduate degree at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where they earned a BA in Political Science, and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
