Obey Itai Domingo is an accomplished business development executive with a robust track record in the payments and remittances sector. As Vice President of Business Development for Southern Africa at Thunes since April 2019, Obey leads the sales and business development strategy across the SADC region, effectively managing extensive sales cycles and mentoring a high-performing team. Prior roles include Senior Sales Director for Global Payments at Cellulant, where Obey developed strategic partnerships for cross-border payments, and Sales Manager for International Remittances at Econet Wireless Zimbabwe, focused on growing remittance business and managing key partnerships. Obey holds a Master's degree in International/Global Studies and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Zimbabwe, along with a certification in Digital Finance from the Digital Frontiers Institute and Fletcher School at Tufts University.
