Gwylem Jones

Gwylem Jones is a seasoned Project Engineer with extensive experience in the mining industry, currently employed at Thungela since June 2021 and previously at Anglo American since January 2012. Gwylem possesses deep knowledge of relevant mining legislation and organizational policies, having worked on various project phases, including feasibility studies, technical support, and project planning. Prior roles include Senior Technical Assistant at Goedehoop Colliery and Field Service Engineer at Eskom, where Gwylem analyzed systems and identified improvement opportunities. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Business Leadership from the University of South Africa and a B-Tech degree in Management from Durban University of Technology, among others. Gwylem is also a certified Project Management Professional.
