Julian Freed-Brown

Julian Freed-Brown has a diverse background in data science and research. In 2022, they began working as a Data Scientist at Thyme Care. From 2015 to present, they have held various roles at Oscar Health, including Director of Research, Associate Director of Research, and Data Scientist/Lead Data Scientist. In 2015, they also began working at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business as a Management Lab, where they collaborated with MBA students on a market entry strategy for an international B2B software provider. From 2010 to 2015, they worked at the University of Chicago as a Physics PhD and Teaching Assistant. In 2008, they worked as a Summer Intern at the California Institute of Technology, where they updated a Mathematica model of multi-stage pendulums.

Julian Freed-Brown obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Physics and Mathematics from Harvey Mudd College between 2006 and 2010. Julian then went on to the University of Chicago, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics between 2010 and 2015.
