In 2017, they moved to Oracle, where they worked as a Solutions Engineer. In 2019, they joined Warby Parker as a Front-End Engineer II, and in 2021, they began working as a Software Engineer III at Thyme Care.

Laura J. attended Wheaton College Massachusetts from 2008 to 2012, where they earned a Dual Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and English Literature. In 2016, they completed a Bootcamp Prep Program at App Academy in Computer Software Engineering. In 2017, they attended Fullstack Academy for Software Engineering, The Grace Hopper Program.
