Ms. Sharan began their career at Ameriprise Financial Inc. in January 2002, where they served as Corporate Officer & President - Financial Planning and Wealth Strategies & Chief Marketing Officer until December 2014. During their time at Ameriprise Financial, Ms. Sharan was responsible for building the Ameriprise brand strategy from scratch, raising brand awareness of Ameriprise Financial from 0 to 50% in year one following spin off from American Express; garnering highest brand awareness ever at 64% in year 8. Ms. Sharan was also a key member of the acquisition deal team for H&R Block Financial Advisors and Threadneedle Asset Management Group.

In addition to their work at Ameriprise Financial, Ms. Sharan has also served as SVP, Strategic Planning & Business Development and Global Financial Services Division, American Express. Ms. Sharan earned one of the highest Net Promoter Scores in the industry (Cogent Research), capturing 50% increase over 5 years while at Ameriprise Financial.
