Tim Penrose

Tim Penrose is an accomplished risk and compliance executive with extensive experience in the financial services sector. At TIAA from October 2020 to January 2025, Tim served as Executive Vice President and Chief Risk & Compliance Officer for Retirement Solutions, as well as Head of Operational Risk for the enterprise. Previously, Tim held senior positions at TIAA, including Executive Vice President, Chief Risk Officer for Retirement, Wealth, and Product, and Senior Managing Director overseeing risk and compliance functions. Earlier career experiences include leadership roles at Ernst & Young in IT Advisory and Risk, Citigroup in Corporate Financial Systems, and engineering positions at Intel and the Department of Defense. Tim holds an MBA from the University of South Carolina and completed the Advanced Leadership Development Program at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.
