David Schemelia

David Schemelia has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. David is currently a Senior Vice President at Tiberend Strategic Advisors, Inc. and has been in this position since February 2021. Prior to their current role, they worked as a Consultant from January 2020 to February 2021, specializing in media relations and public relations for pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, and medical cannabis companies.

Before their consultancy role, David served as a Senior Vice President at KCSA Strategic Communications from May 2019 to January 2020. In this role, they led and managed teams for various public relations accounts focusing on pharmaceuticals, fintech, medtech, and cannabis clients.

David also held the position of Senior Vice President at Tiberend Strategic Advisors, Inc. from August 2017 to May 2019. During this time, they provided media relations and public relations support to investor relation life science clients and handled new business proposals, press releases, media outreach, and byline articles placement.

From December 2013 to August 2017, David worked as a Vice President at EVC Group, Inc., where they provided account management and execution for Integrated Communication and Investor Relation clients in the medical device, medtech, and biotech space.

Earlier in their career, David served as the Director of Public Relations at Signature Brand Factory from December 2011 to December 2013, assisting clients from various industries with their public relations and media relations needs. David was also the President of DS Edward PR from October 2010 to December 2011, where they utilized their extensive media relations experience to handle clients from pharmaceutical, health care, medical devices, hospitality, legal, real estate, advertising, and financial sectors.

David's work experience also includes a role as a Senior Vice President/Media Director at HealthSTAR Public Relations from July 2005 to September 2010, where they led national and trade media efforts for pharmaceutical and biotech clients and achieved numerous industry awards for their successful campaigns. David was a Senior Vice President at Galli Associates from June 2004 to July 2005 and at Financial Dynamics from October 2003 to April 2004.

David Schemelia began their education in 1974 by attending Camden County College, where they studied Electrical Engineering. David continued their education at the New York Institute of Photography from 1976 to 1978, focusing on the field of Photography. In 1982, David enrolled in Aero Ventures and completed their Private Pilot degree with an Instrument Rating in 1985. Additionally, in April 1983, they obtained a certification for Private Pilot and Instrument Rating from the Federal Aviation Administration.
