James A. Fletcher has worked in the software engineering field since 1985. James A. began their career at Motorola as a Principal Software Engineer, where they worked on the pre-DOCSIS CDLP Cable Router project and helped define a DOCSIS compliant blade for the same chassis. James A. then moved to BigBand Networks/ADC/Broadband Access Systems, where they served as a Senior Principal Software Engineer and was part of the development team responsible for the CMTS blade of the Cuda 12000 IP Access Switch product. In 2008, they joined Teknovus/Broadcom as a Principal Software Engineer in the Systems Software Division, where they were part of a 6 person team specifically formed to define and implement DOCSIS managed virtual CMTS and virtual CM software. James A. then moved to Broadcom in 2014, where they worked as a Senior Principal Software Engineer and was responsible for implementation and test of software needed for support of OFDMA upstream channels. In 2016, they joined Harmonic as a Senior Staff Software Development Engineer, and they are currently employed at Tibit Communications, Inc. as a Principal Software Engineer.
James A. Fletcher earned a BS in Computer Science from Tufts University between 1981 and 1985. James A. then went on to earn an MS in Systems Engineering from Boston University between 1991 and 1993.
