Minseok Song

Minseok Song has a diverse work history with experience in software development, machine learning engineering, and technical leadership. Their most recent role was as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Tic:Toc Home Loans, where they designed and built ETL pipelines and data warehouses using technologies such as Apache Airflow, AWS Glue, and Redshift. Minseok also worked on financial validation models using AWS SageMaker ML algorithms. Prior to that, they worked as a Software Developer at Proviso, where they improved the categorization engine and developed ETL processes for bank transaction records using S3, Lambda, SQS, and PHP. Minseok also utilized machine learning for text pattern recognition in financial records. Minseok served as the Technical Director at Voli, where they built a platform for retired individuals to lead social projects using technologies such as PHP Laravel, JavaScript, MySQL, and AWS. Minseok gained experience as a Functional Analyst and Solution Architect Intern at SAHMRI, where they designed the architecture of a wellbeing measurement system and prototyped the measuring tool using JavaScript, jQuery, Drupal, Lime Survey, and AWS. Earlier in their career, Minseok worked as a Software Engineer at nTels, developing a supply chain management system for a 4G LTE project in Rwanda. Minseok trained local employees and documented system guides. Minseok also served as a Software Developer at SK Networks Service, where they developed content management systems, online stores, and an Android comic book app. Minseok was involved in the daily process of data distribution from POS to logistic centers. In addition, Minseok worked as an Interpreter and Translator at Samsung Electronics, where they translated technical documents on manufacturing guides for mobile phones.

Minseok Song completed their education with a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in English Language and Literature from Namseoul University, which they received from 2001 to 2007. Minseok then pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Consecutive Interpretation & Translation from Seoul University of Foreign Studies, which they completed from 2008 to 2010. Later, they obtained a Master of Science in Information Technology with a focus on Business Intelligence and Data Analytics from Carnegie Mellon University, where they studied from 2015 to 2017.

In addition to their formal education, Minseok Song also obtained several certifications. In November 2011, they obtained the Korean Information Processing Engineer Certificate. In the same month, they also became an Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE 6 Programmer, certified by Oracle. In March 2017, they obtained the AWS Certified Solution Architect - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services. Lastly, in December 2016, they completed the Product Management Fundamentals course from Lynda.com.
