Richard Shanahan has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Richard is currently serving as the Chief Product & Data Officer at Tic:Toc since April 2021. Previously, they held the position of Head of Data Science | Enterprise Product Manager at Tic:Toc from June 2020 to April 2021. Prior to that, Richard served as the Manager Data Science | Enterprise Product Manager at Tic:Toc from July 2019 to September 2020. Richard also worked as a Manager, Data Science at Tic:Toc from August 2018 to July 2019.

Before joining Tic:Toc, Richard worked at TicToc home as a Data Scientist - UX from May 2017 to June 2018. Prior to that, they gained valuable experience at the Australian Bureau of Statistics as the SBT Program Test Director from October 2016 to May 2017, and as the Integration Test Manager for Census 2016 from June 2015 to September 2016.

Richard's earlier work experience includes a role as the UAT Test Manager at ANZ Bank from July 2009 to May 2015. Richard also worked at HSBC Retail Banking and Wealth Management, where they held the positions of Proposition Development Manager from January 2007 to February 2009, and Product Manager from January 2005 to February 2006.

Richard Shanahan completed their education history with a Master of Data Science from the University of South Australia between 2014 and 2016. During this program, they studied various subjects including Data Science, Statistics, Programming, Big Data, Probability, and Machine Learning. Prior to that, between 2000 and 2004, they pursued a Bachelor of Economics degree in Trade & Environmental Economics at the University of Adelaide. Richard also engaged in online courses to enhance their skills. In 2014, they obtained certifications in MongoDB and DataWrangling from Udacity, as well as completed courses in R Packages: ggvis and dplyr from DataCamp. Additionally, in 2009, they obtained a certification in Data Wrangling with MongoDB from Udacity.
