Ian Davila

Lead Adversary Emulation Engineer at Tidal Cyber

Ian Davila has a diverse work experience in various cybersecurity roles. Ian is currently working as a Lead Adversary Emulation Engineer at Tidal Cyber since April 2022. Prior to that, they worked at MITRE as a Cyber Security Engineer from May 2019 to April 2022. Earlier in their career, Ian served as a Research Assistant at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras from November 2015 to February 2018, where they implemented parallel computing and network visualizations for a web-based application under the mentorship of Dr. José Ortiz-Ubarri. Ian also had brief stints as an IT Lab - SSI Fellow at Carnegie Mellon University in June and July 2017, and as a Student Researcher at the National Institute of Standards and Technology in May to August 2016. Additionally, they worked as a Project Developer at the University of Puerto Rico from June to December 2015.

Ian Davila completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras, from 2013 to 2018. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Information Security at Carnegie Mellon University's Information Networking Institute from 2018 to 2020.
