Jenn Wood

Jenn Wood has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Their most recent position is as a Global Key Account Manager at Tidal Vision, a company focused on advancing chitosan chemistry solutions. Prior to this role, they served as the Regional Business Manager for Water Treatment in the Northeast for the same company.

Jenn also has experience as a Professional Consultant, providing services such as corporate social responsibility reporting, behavior change studies, clean energy technology solutions, and environmental indicator analyses.

Jenn has been actively involved in addressing climate change as a Climate Leader, Mentor Lead, and Founding Chair for the Vermont Chapter of the Climate Reality Leadership Corps, where they trained local communities on tackling the climate crisis and inspiring action. Jenn has also served as a mentor for trainees and completion of their Acts of Leadership.

In their previous roles, Jenn has worked as a Business Development Manager at KLA, a Public Affairs & Community Relations Manager at Green Mountain Transit, and a Director at Just Energy. At Just Energy, they were responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing sales expansion, and serving as a subject matter expert in the renewable energy industry. Jenn also initiated sustainability programs to enhance internal awareness and customer support of climate action solutions.

Other positions held by Jenn include the Weatherization Program Director at the Champlain Valley Office of Economic Opportunity, where they managed energy efficiency programs and grants, and the Career Connect Coordinator at Feeding Chittenden, where they developed a job readiness program and increased program effectiveness.

Additionally, they have worked at Vermont Works for Women, where they served as a VtGREEN Career Development Counselor and a Program Coordinator for Energy Efficiency Outreach & Education. Jenn collaborated in establishing career pathways in the energy efficiency and renewable energy industries and provided counseling and career development assistance to women.

Jenn's early career includes a role as a Facilitation Consultant at Adventure Associates, where they led corporate facilitation courses and workshops. Throughout their various positions, Jenn has demonstrated a commitment to environmental sustainability, community engagement, and creating positive change.

Jenn Wood has a diverse education history. Jenn holds a Master of Arts degree in Urban & Environmental Policy & Planning with a concentration in Sustainable Design & Social Change from Tufts University. Additionally, Jenn is a graduate of the 2019 cohort of the VT Leadership Institute at the Snelling Center for Government. Jenn is also affiliated with the Environmental Leadership Program as a Senior Fellow in the New England Regional Network.

In terms of their undergraduate education, Jenn attended Northland College where they pursued a dual Bachelor of Science degree. Their self-designed field of study was Sustainability & Education, and they also specialized in Outdoor Education during their time there.

Furthermore, Jenn has gained various certifications throughout their career. Jenn is a certified Social Action Trainer from Training for Change, obtained in October 2017. Jenn is also a Trained Climate Reality Leader from The Climate Reality Project, attained in August 2013. In addition to these certifications, Jenn has expertise as a Building Analyst, Certified Environmental Literacy Instructor, Certified Food Safety Manager, First Aid, CPR Healthcare Provider, AED, Forklift Operator, Fundamental Canoeing Certification, OSHA 10, Open Water Diver, STARS Education Training, Solar PV Installer, and Wilderness First Responder.
