Steve Thiele has a diverse work experience, starting from owning and operating a car repair and detailing business from 1986 to 1991. Steve then worked as a Lead Manufacturing Technician at Integrated Technologies, Inc. from 1992 to 1995. After that, they served as a Plant Manager at Tree Island Fastener Division - Tree Island Industries, where they implemented Lean and continuous improvement projects to enhance productivity and quality. Steve also managed a food manufacturing facility at Golden Boy Foods Ltd and oversaw fresh fish processing at Bellingham Cold Storage. In 2015, they became a Plant Director at Inventure Foods, Inc., responsible for two food processing and packaging facilities. Steve then held the role of Operations Manager at Scratch and Peck Feeds, LLC before becoming the Plant Manager at Nanak Foods in 2019. Steve is currently working as the Facilities and Maintenance Manager at Tidal Vision.

Steve Thiele pursued their education at Western Washington University from 1988 to 1991, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering with a focus on Industrial Supervision and Vehicle Design. Before attending Western Washington University, Steve completed an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Auto Body Technology from Skagit Valley College from 1986 to 1988.

In addition to their formal education, Steve Thiele has acquired several certifications. Steve obtained the S.T.A.R.T Certification from the Washington Department of Labor & Industries in April 2022. Furthermore, Steve holds the certification of Certified Lean Greenbelt from Lean Sensei International. Steve has also completed OSHA 10 Safety Training and OSHA 40 HAZWOPER Training at the University of South Florida, although the specific dates of completion for these trainings are not provided.
