Yuan (Jonathan) Cheng

Yuan (Jonathan) Cheng has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Yuan (Jonathan) currently holds the position of Head of Tidal Grow Agriscience Product and Pipeline Management at Tidal Grow AgriScience, a plant protection and nutrition startup. In this role, they lead product and pipeline management, focusing on increasing crop inputs' effectiveness to maximize yield per unit applied.

Prior to this, Yuan served as the Head of Tidal Grow AgriScience Product & Pipeline Management at Tidal Vision. Yuan (Jonathan) also worked as the Director of BizDev & Product Strategy at Digestiva, where they were responsible for business development and product strategy.

Yuan's entrepreneurial experience includes founding Shrimply Blue, where they served as the Founding Director. Yuan (Jonathan) also co-founded PagerTree and held the position of Co-Founder.

Before their entrepreneurial ventures, Yuan worked at Marrone Bio Innovations as a Financial Data Analyst and as an MBA Marketing Intern. During their internship, they designed a customer retention model and conducted due diligence on potential mergers and acquisitions opportunities.

Yuan's earlier career includes roles at Mitchell International, where they held positions such as Senior Manager and Manager of Customer Success, Sales Effectiveness Manager, and Product Manager. In these positions, they achieved improvements in net revenue retention, oversaw retention and implementation, and drove product design and go-to-market strategies.

Yuan started their professional journey as a Sales Representative at Vector Marketing and worked as a Barista at Starbucks Coffee Company.

Yuan (Jonathan) Cheng completed their education with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of California, Davis - Graduate School of Management in the years 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Management Science from UC San Diego, from 2004 to 2008. Additionally, Yuan holds two additional certifications: Pragmatic Marketing Certified - Level II (PMC-II) from Pragmatic Marketing and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) from Scaled Agile, Inc.
