Georgi Tenev

Georgi Tenev has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Georgi started their career as a Treasury Services Mainframe Application Developer Intern at JPMorgan Chase, where they gained practical experience in programming with Natural, JCL, and Java. Georgi then worked as a DevOps Engineer Intern at Krzana and later as a DevOps Engineer at DataCamp.

Georgi also worked as a TypeScript Software Engineer Intern at THEOplayer, where they implemented integrations to the core player of the cross-platform streaming player. Georgi further enhanced their skills as a Java Lab Sessions Teacher at the Technical University of Sofia, where they assisted undergraduate IT students in learning how to program in Java.

In 2018, Georgi joined Naxex Technological Development Ltd. as a DevOps Engineer, where they worked until 2019. Georgi then joined South Gate Tech as a Team Lead Python Data Engineer, where they led a team and worked on Python data engineering projects until June 2021.

Georgi also worked as a Lecturer for the DevOps Course at the Computer Education Center "Progress". Georgi shared their knowledge on topics such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Git, Bash & Python, Docker, and NoSQL databases with the students.

In 2019, Georgi started working at Tide, a UK fintech company, as a Staff Backend Engineer - ML & Data. In this role, they led the ML engineering function within the Data Science department. Georgi was responsible for project planning, implementation, and monitoring of ML-powered (NLP) systems, including a content suggestion system for the chatbot. Georgi also collaborated with third-party vendors to ensure project success.

Most recently, Georgi has joined Looming Tech as a Software Architect Consultant, leveraging their expertise to provide consulting services in software architecture.

Georgi Tenev completed their Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Southampton from 2012 to 2015. Georgi then pursued a Master's Degree in Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence at KU Leuven from 2015 to 2017.

In terms of additional certifications, Georgi obtained a certification in Business, Entrepreneurship & Soft skills from Training Academy in September 2018. Georgi also obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services in January 2018.
