Naseer Ashraf

Naseer Ashraf has a diverse range of work experience spanning over 25 years. Naseer is currently working as a Staff Software Engineer at Tide since September 2021. Prior to that, they worked at ThoughtWorks as a Lead Developer starting from April 2016.

Naseer's longest tenure was at UBS Investment Bank, where they started in June 2001 as a Lead Java Developer (Associate Director). In this role, they designed and developed solutions to ensure compliance with regulatory rules imposed by global authorities. Naseer also designed and developed a confirmation system to generate documents and transmit them to DSMatch or the counterparty. Additionally, they developed settlements engines to handle cash flows for the full lifecycle of trades, including payments via Swift and communication with downstream accounting and funding systems. Naseer also served as a component guardian for three large strategic applications in Operations IT.

Before joining UBS Investment Bank, Naseer worked at Real Time Control PLC as an Analyst Developer from March 1996 to June 2000.
