Kenya James

Kenya James-Anderson is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in fiscal management, accounting, and operations. Currently serving as Finance Manager at Tides Advocacy since October 2021, Kenya leads an accounting team responsible for managing financial operations for over 80 partners, overseeing budgets up to $4.5 million. Previous roles include Finance and Operations Manager at the Insight Center for Community Economic Development, where Kenya managed accounting processes and human resources for a growing organization, and Facilities Manager at The Greenlining Institute, leading a team and managing facility budgets. Earlier experience also includes positions at Charles River Associates and the U.S. Department of Defense, along with a background in military logistics as an Automated Supply Specialist in the US Army. Kenya holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting and IT Management from Cal State East Bay.
