Alfred Wise

Alfred Wise has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Alfred most recently worked as the Director of Business Operations at Tides, a prominent social justice organization in the U.S. Prior to that, they served as an Operations Advisor at BasiGo.

In 2019, Alfred joined Komaza, a Series B company revolutionizing sustainable forestry in Africa, where they held the position of VP Business Operations. In this role, they built and managed all shared services of a division, overseeing various back-office functions supporting a 500-member team. Alfred was responsible for setting strategy and staffing at the global and regional levels, as well as developing a team of functional managers and implementing systems and policies.

Earlier in their career, Alfred worked at Living Goods, where they held two roles. Initially, they served as the Director of Strategic Growth Initiatives, focusing on scaling the organization's operations across multiple countries through digitization and process optimization. Alfred was then promoted to Country Director for Uganda, where they oversaw the country's operations and achieved significant growth in Community Health Promoters and the delivery of frontline health services.

Prior to their work at Living Goods, Alfred held the position of Country Director at KickStart International. Here, they led the strategic overhaul and expansion of the private sector dealer network, developed partnerships, and revamped the salesforce to drive growth and increase effectiveness.

Alfred's earlier experience includes their role as President/CEO at Community Wealth Partners, a consulting firm specializing in nonprofit sustainability and social enterprises. Under their leadership, the firm transformed from loss to profitability and became a leading social enterprise consulting firm. Additionally, Alfred served as SVP/General Manager at Snyder Communications, where they played a crucial role in the company's growth from a small marketing firm to a publicly-listed corporation with significant sales.
