Suneela Jain

Suneela Jain has extensive experience in the legal field, with their most recent role being the Chief Legal and Compliance Officer at Tides, where they started in December 2022. Prior to that, they held positions as the Chief Legal and Ethics Officer, General Counsel, and Associate General Counsel at Tides. Before joining Tides, Suneela worked as a Volunteer Attorney at The Nature Conservancy in 2017. Suneela also worked as an Associate at Gunderson Dettmer from 2015 to 2017. Suneela's legal career began at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP in 2010, where they worked as an Associate, specializing in corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and pro bono work.

Suneela Jain completed their education at two different institutions. From 1999 to 2004, they attended UCLA and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science and Public Policy. Following this, Suneela went on to enroll at Yale Law School, where they pursued a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from 2007 to 2010.
