Chris Chapman is currently the Director Of Machining at Steel America, where Chris manages production staff and plans jobs for the machine shop for various organizations. Chris also works as a Machine Technology Adjunct at Tidewater Community College. Prior to this, Chris was the Machine Shop Manager at Advex Corporation, where Chris managed a staff of 20 and worked on components for organizations such as NASA and Langley Air Force Base. Chris completed their Journeymen Machinist degree through the Advex Apprenticeship Program in 1998.

Founded in 1968 as a part of the Virginia Community College System, Tidewater Community College (TCC) serves South Hampton Roads with campuses in Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth, and Virginia Beach. TCC is the largest provider of higher education and workforce development services in Hampton Roads, enrolling nearly 34,000 students annually—the second largest undergraduate student body in the Commonwealth of Virginia. It is the 11th largest public two-year community college in the entire nation.
