Sylvain Joyeux

Sylvain Joyeux is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in product development, engineering, and robotics. Currently serving as Director at TideWise since May 2019, Sylvain oversees all vessel project development and plays a key role on the administrative board to shape business strategy and operations. Prior to this role, Sylvain held the position of Technical Director at 13 Robotics, focusing on engineering systems for the energy sector. Sylvain's earlier experience includes serving as a Senior Researcher at SENAI CIMATEC, leading software engineering for the FlatFish AUV, and at Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz (DFKI), where Sylvain was the project leader of an intelligent mobility initiative. Sylvain began a career in robotics as a PhD student at LAAS/CNRS, concentrating on system integration software for multi-robot systems. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Computer Science from École Polytechnique and a Master of Science in Embedded Critical Systems from ISAE-SUPAERO.
