Gene Mendez

Gene Mendez has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Gene currently holds the position of Director IT Field Services at Tideworks Technology. Prior to that, from 2017 to 2021, they worked at Digital Trends as Manager IT, where they directed the IT department and developed short and long-term IT strategies. Mendez has also co-founded and served as the CTO and Renewable Energy Engineer at Eta Power Systems, Inc. / H2Tech Systems, Inc. where they developed clean source hydrogen fuel cell technology. Earlier in their career, they served as President and Co-Owner of All About Classics, LLC, All About Color, Inc., and Aloy, Inc., spearheading business strategies and growing revenues. Mendez has also worked at Gap Inc. in various roles, including Senior Manager, Information Technology, and Network Architect. Gene played a crucial role in developing Gap Inc.'s first standardized IT security strategy. Additionally, they have worked at Prudential Financial and AIG in managerial roles, where they contributed to network expansion projects and optimized telecommunications infrastructure. Mendez began their career as a Network Engineer at The Chase Manhattan Bank, NA, where they optimized network design and managed telecommunications contracts.

Gene Mendez completed a Certificate of Completion in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies from Stanford University in 2016. Gene also attended St. John's University from 1980 to 1981, studying Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services. In addition, they obtained additional certifications including a High Performance Mindset from Compete to Create in 2021 and a Statement of Accomplishment: Technology Entrepreneurship Part 1 from Stanford University in 2016.
