Patrick van Boom has worked in various roles in the business industry since 1992. Patrick began their career as a Consultant at ICB Instituut voor Commerciele Beleidsvorming in 1992. Patrick then moved to CRH as a Marketing Manager in 1993 and then to CRH Europe - Van Neerbos Groep as a Marketing Manager in the same year. In 1996, they became the Owner of Advisell Plus and in 1998, the Owner of Advinet Plus - Ondernemendnederland.nl. In 2004, they became the Owner of Digital Channel and in 2006, they became the Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President Global Sales and Marketing at TIE Kinetix. At TIE Kinetix, they have been delivering Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions to companies, governmental institutions, and their suppliers, to help them exchange all business documents electronically and simplify supply chain processes as a result.

Patrick van Boom attended Erasmus University Rotterdam from 1987 to 1993, where they received a Drs in Business Economics and Marketing. In 1996, they attended Nyenrode Business University, where they studied Business Process Reengineering.
