Kari Naone

Kari Naone is the current Executive Director at TiE Oregon.

Naone has over 10 years of experience in event planning and management. Kari has previous experience working with the Technology Councils of North America (TECNA), where they served as the Events of Community Interest Chair. In this role, Naone worked cross-functionally with chapters within the TECNA network to create events and programming that spanned throughout the US, including federal policy legislation.

Prior to their work with TECNA, Naone was the Director of Communities & Special Events at the Technology Association of Oregon. In this role, they managed over 70 events per year through volunteer and committee management.

Naone has also worked as the Events and Field Marketing Manager at Janrain, Inc., where they worked closely with sales and business development to build out a solid field marketing plan that included events, trade-shows, webinars, and media events throughout the US.

Before their current role at TiE Oregon, Naone served as the Acting Regional Vice President - Executive Director at TechAmerica, powered by CompTIA. In this role, they were responsible for executing CompTIA’s membership strategy in the Western region of the United States.

Naone began their career in event management as an Event Director at Centric Events / ITEC. In this role, they planned and executed events for major corporations such as Microsoft, HP, and Dell.

Kari Naone is a proven leader in event management with over 10 years of experience planning and executing events for major corporations, non-profits, and trade associations.

Kari Naone earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition and Food from the University of Wyoming's College of Agriculture. Kari also holds a General degree from Western Wyoming Community College. Kari Naone graduated from Rock Springs High School.

They work with Shashi Jain - Global Education Director & TYE Instructor, Ben Nahir - Program Manager, TiE Oregon Angels & TiE Global Angels, and Nicole Marris - TYE Program & Development Manager. Kari Naone reports to Nitin Rai, President.
