Tero Sillander

Tero Sillander has extensive work experience, starting in 1997. Tero began their career at Nokia, where they served in various roles including SW Quality Manager, Engineering Manager, and SW Specialist. At Nokia, they played a crucial role in the development and standardization of the TETRA Direct Mode functionality.

Tero later joined Tieto as a Program Manager and then transitioned to Tietoevry, where they held positions as a Senior Project Manager and Lead Project Manager. In these roles, Tero focused on agile product development practices, maintaining product backlogs, creating visibility and common plans across multiple teams, and resolving development impediments. Tero also led a team in building and managing a cost-efficient IoT Big Data platform.

Additionally, Tero worked at Nokia as a Sales Start Variant Creation Manager. In this role, they shaped Nokia Devices Customization variant creation across multiple countries and successfully negotiated flexible and scalable variant creation capacity.

Tero Sillander obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Jyväskylä, studying from 1992 to 1997. In addition, they have obtained certifications as a Certified Data Vault 2.0 practitioner from the Data Vault Alliance in 2020, as a Certified Scrum Master from the Scrum Alliance in September 2017, and as an IPMA-C from the IPMA: International Project Management Association in 2017.
