Cristián Medina

Cristián Medina has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Cristián started their career in 1997 as a Programador en Computación at Dirección de Previsión de Carabineros de Chile, where they gained experience in various programming languages and databases. Cristián then progressed to roles such as Analista de Sistemas and Jefe de Proyectos Informáticos within the same organization.

In 2003, Medina joined Corporación de Ayuda a la Familia de Carabineros as an Asesor Computacional. Cristián later worked as a Profesor Programación Web at CFT LAPLACE in 2009.

From 2012 to 2014, Medina worked as an Asesor GENERO Four J's Development Tools at Akzio and Universidad Católica Silva Henríquez, respectively. During this time, they were involved in projects related to system curricular transformation and web service creation.

Medina then transitioned to the cloud computing industry, joining Soluciones Orión in 2018. Cristián initially served as a Sales Specialist Cloud and later as a Consultor de Soluciones Cloud. In these roles, they were responsible for defining, managing, and executing cloud infrastructure services.

In 2020, Medina joined In Motion Servicios S.A. as a Senior Presales Consultant Cloud. Cristián supported sales initiatives and managed infrastructure and consulting services related to IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.

Medina continued their cloud-focused career at Tigabytes - Google Cloud Partner Premier in 2021, where they worked as a Google Cloud Platform Presales Engineer.

Currently, Medina is serving as a Senior Presales Cloud Solution Architect at uCloud, a position they started in July 2023.

Cristián Medina has a diverse education history in the field of computer science and engineering. Cristián obtained a Diploma de Postítulo en Calidad del Software (Software Quality Postgraduate Diploma) from Universidad de Chile in 2009, focusing on software engineering. In the same year, they also completed a Diploma de Postítulo en Seguridad Computacional (Computer Security Postgraduate Diploma) at the same institution, specializing in computer and system security.

Prior to that, Cristián Medina attended Universidad de Santiago de Chile from 2000 to 2005, where they earned a degree in Ingeniería en Computación e Informática (Computer Science and Engineering). Cristián'sfield of study in this program was computer engineering.

Additionally, Cristián Medina has obtained several certifications later in their career to enhance their expertise. These certifications include Introduction to Generative AI from Google Cloud Skills Boost for Partners, obtained in July 2023; Google Cloud Big Data and Machine Learning Fundamentals, obtained in November 2022; Modernizing Data Lakes and Data Warehouses with Google Cloud, also obtained in November 2022; Mendix - Certified Rapid Developer, obtained in August 2021; Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, obtained in May 2019; Cloud Digital Leader - Google Cloud, obtained in December 2022; Professional Cloud Architect - Google Cloud, obtained in March 2022; Associate Cloud Engineer - Google Cloud, obtained in January 2021; AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS), obtained in October 2020; AZ-303 Microsoft Azure Architect Technologies from Microsoft, obtained in July 2021; AWS Cloud Practitioner, obtained in April 2020; AZ-400 Designing and Implementing Microsoft DevOps Solutions from Microsoft, obtained in April 2021; Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert, obtained in April 2021; Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, obtained in August 2020; Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, obtained in June 2020; and Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate, obtained in July 2019.
