Jamie Kingery has over two decades of experience in education, currently serving as Principal at Tigard-Tualatin School District since July 2011, following an earlier tenure as a teacher within the same district from August 2000 to June 2008. In the teaching role, Jamie accumulated seven years of classroom teaching experience and spent an additional year as a teacher on special assignment, focusing on instructional improvement and new teacher induction. Tigard-Tualatin School District (TTSD) serves part of the suburban Portland metropolitan area including the cities of Tigard, Tualatin, Durham, and King City, as well as the unincorporated communities of Metzger and Bull Mountain. TTSD provides programming from Pre-school to 12th grade with an emphasis on student achievement, equity, talent, and climate and culture. All K-12 students experience personalized digital learning with a focus on critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity, as well as opportunities to experience, college, career, and technical classes, preparing them for success after high school.
