Kathryn Stilwell is an experienced educator and literacy coach with a diverse background in various educational roles. Currently serving as a Literacy Coach at Tigard-Tualatin School District since July 2021, Kathryn also holds positions as a University Supervisor and Adjunct Professor at Portland State University since August 2019. Previous roles include Instructional Coach at Hanna Boys Center, Academic Options Coordinator at Hillsboro Public Schools, and teacher positions at both Portland Public Schools and Young Women's Leadership Academy. Tigard-Tualatin School District (TTSD) serves part of the suburban Portland metropolitan area including the cities of Tigard, Tualatin, Durham, and King City, as well as the unincorporated communities of Metzger and Bull Mountain. TTSD provides programming from Pre-school to 12th grade with an emphasis on student achievement, equity, talent, and climate and culture. All K-12 students experience personalized digital learning with a focus on critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity, as well as opportunities to experience, college, career, and technical classes, preparing them for success after high school. TTSD hires and retains staff who are catalysts for learning and who nurture a school community where everyone feels safe, valued, and connected.
