Michael Saechao currently serves as a Culturally Responsive Liaison for the Tigard-Tualatin School District since August 2022. Previously, Michael held the position of Academic Coach at Sherwood High School from March 2022 to August 2022. Prior to entering the education sector, Michael worked at Nike as an Executive Resolution Lead for over thirteen years, from October 2003 to March 2017. Michael is an alumnus of McKay High School.

Tigard-Tualatin School District (TTSD) serves part of the suburban Portland metropolitan area including the cities of Tigard, Tualatin, Durham, and King City, as well as the unincorporated communities of Metzger and Bull Mountain. TTSD provides programming from Pre-school to 12th grade with an emphasis on student achievement, equity, talent, and climate and culture. All K-12 students experience personalized digital learning with a focus on critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity, as well as opportunities to experience, college, career, and technical classes, preparing them for success after high school. TTSD hires and retains staff who are catalysts for learning and who nurture a school community where everyone feels safe, valued, and connected.
