Mari-Alet Myburgh

Mari-Alet Myburgh has extensive experience in finance and consulting. Mari-Alet is currently serving as the Finance Director: Culinary at Tiger Brands since 2023. Prior to that, they were the Financial Director at McCain Foods from 2018 to 2023. From 2014 to 2018, they worked as the Financial Director - Southern Africa at EnviroServ Waste Management, where they were responsible for various financial functions. Before that, they worked as a Business Consultant from 2010 to 2014, providing value-added solutions to clients. Mari-Alet also has experience in the Internal Audit and Financial Manager Supply Chain roles at South African Breweries from 2005 to 2007. Mari-Alet started their career as an Enforcement Coordinator at The South African Revenue Service from 2003 to 2005 and as a Franchise Liaison Manager at Nashua Finance Co from 2001 to 2003. Mari-Alet also worked as a Deal Shaper at Accenture from 2000 to 2001.

Mari-Alet Myburgh attended the University of Pretoria from 1992 to 1996, where they obtained a BCom(Hons)(Accounting)(CTA) degree with a focus on Accounting, Auditing, Business Studies, and Tax. In 1999, they received a CA(SA) certification from SAICA. In 2004, they pursued a Diploma in International Tax & Transfer Pricing from the University of Johannesburg. Later, in 2007, they obtained a CIA certification in Internal Auditing from IIA. In 2022, Mari-Alet Myburgh completed the McCain Foods - NEXT 2.0 Global Leader Development Program at The Ivey Academy at Ivey Business School.
